Water Conservation Systems

Water is one of the planet’s most vital resources, and at CLR, we are dedicated to supporting water conservation systems that ensure its sustainable use within facilities. Through our IFM services, we work with clients to implement CLR’s IFM programs that focus on reducing water consumption, optimizing water use, and preserving this essential resource for future generations.

Water conservation is essential for environmental sustainability, operational efficiency, and cost savings. By reducing water use, facilities can lower costs, decrease demand on local supplies, and reduce the environmental impact linked to water extraction and treatment. At CLR, we collaborate closely with our clients to develop tailored water conservation strategies suited to their facilities’ unique needs.

As part of our water conservation initiatives, we implement and promote water-saving practices such as the use of waterless urinals, efficient cleaning methods & operating programs, and effective management of ETP, STP, and WTP. These practices help significantly reduce water use and promote responsible water management.

Maintaining TDS in HVAC Systems: Managing Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in HVAC systems is another critical part of our water conservation approach. By maintaining optimal TDS levels, we extend the water exchange cycle in HVAC systems, promoting energy savings and reducing water use. This careful TDS management prevents corrosion in chiller pipes, reduces the risk of algae growth, and protects system efficiency, thereby lowering maintenance needs and extending equipment lifespan.

We also advocate rainwater harvesting as a key conservation method in the facilities we manage. By collecting and storing rainwater, clients can decrease their reliance on municipal water sources, using harvested water for purposes like irrigation, toilet flushing, and cooling tower replenishment. This approach not only conserves water but also reduces stormwater runoff, helping prevent erosion and water pollution.

Another innovative approach we support is greywater recycling. Greywater, or wastewater from sinks, showers, and washing machines, can be treated and reused for non-potable uses such as irrigation and toilet flushing. This recycling can substantially reduce overall water consumption and lessen the facility’s impact on local water resources.

Education and awareness are also crucial to our water conservation efforts. We provide facility occupants and staff with training on water-saving practices and encourage behaviors that further water conservation. By fostering a culture of sustainability, we help make water conservation a natural part of daily facility operations.

In conclusion, water conservation is a core element of CLR’s sustainability strategy. Through efficient technologies, TDS management in HVAC systems, rainwater harvesting, greywater recycling, and ongoing education, we help clients conserve water, reduce costs, and safeguard this essential resource for the future.
